  The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has presented five footballs to Igbobi College , Lagos, as part of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) School Football Development Initiative aimed at promoting health, wellness, and active participation in football among students. To officially mark the presentation, the Vice Chairman of the Lagos FA, Dotun Coker , who is also an alumnus of the institution, handed over the symbolic CAF footballs to the Principal of Igbobi College, Joseph Oyewale Adediji . Igbobi College has a rich tradition of producing outstanding football talents, including Andrew Uwe , Golden Ajebor , Mike Dominic , Tunde Martins , Joseph Dosu , Ibitimi Collins , and Jonathan Akpoborie . According to a statement released from the LSFA and put their weight behind by Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed, this three year partnership - which is reportedly worth a tidy ₦100 million - is a bold move to give the Lagos FA Cup a much needed boost. By getting this sort of exposure, the plan is to increase visibility for the competition, and bring in some much needed cash and opportunities for the clubs, the players and the wider football community in Lagos to cash in on. However, the celebrations were marred by an unfortunate incident involving some fans, prompting the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) to take decisive action to uphold the integrity of the sport. Following the match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, a section of Inter Lagos supporters stormed the VIP section, causing disruptions and leaving dignitaries, stakeholders, and government officials disappointed.
